Chapter 4

Steve states, "As venom, pride deadens the ache of our low self-esteem and makes us feel better about ourselves.  it adapts to any personality and attaches itself to any virtue so that even the most pious person and the most selfless act are vulnerable."

William Law wrote, " We love humility and hate pride.... only in other people."

C.S. Lewis said, "if you want to find out how proud you are the easiest way is to ask yourself, 'How much do I dislike it when other people snub me, or refuse to take any notice of me?"'

So the question is What is the root of Pride?  is it overconfidence or folly?

How can we conquer pride?  is it by becoming humble or wisdom?

Let me know your thoughts........

Chapter 2

The question was asked by the author "Why do holy people do ungodly things?".  I would like to know what you think about this.  I recommend you first read the chapter and then comment.  I think you will be facinated and relieved in one sense but yet convicted in another.

After reading the first chapter of "7 Saving Graces", I want your thoughts and or comments on this quote found in the book by Mark Weeter.

"Is there anything else in your life that you can get good at by doing nothing?"

Think about this and how this relates to your Spiritual life.
